MARY ANN (PAGELS) DAVIES



CASSOPOLIS -- Mary A. Pagels, 66, of 304 E. York Street, Cassopolis, Michigan, died Friday, June 8,2007, at 4:10 p.m. in the Cass County Medical Care Facility, Cassopolis, following a short illness.

She was born June 29, 1940, in Newell, South Dakota, to the late Louis A. and Lena M. (Schroder)Davis, and had moved to Cassopolis in 1970 from California.

Mary married Norbert D. Pagels on November 29, 1969, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he preceded her indeath on March 24, 2000. Mary is survived by a daughter, Cathleen R. Bonos, and her husband, Ari ofGoshen, IN; a son, Joseph R. Pagels, and his wife, Julie of Cassopolis; three grandchildren; andfour sisters and three brothers. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Mary worked as an emergency room nurse in the 1960s, then after marrying she became a homemaker.She was a member of the American Legion Post #26 Niles, MI, and the Cass County Medical CareFacility Auxiliary, Cassopolis.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the Connelly Funeral Home,Cassopolis. Officiating will be Pastor David Weiss, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cassopolis.Interment will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Cassopolis. Friends may call in the funeral home onMonday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Cass County Council on Aging, Cassopolis.
